Following the longest Confirmation course in St Mary's' history, five candidates were confirmed by Rt Rev Christopher Foster, Bishop of Hertford, on Sunday 20th May at Berkhamsted.
The course nearly fell victim to the vacancy but the tenacity and perseverance of the candidates, plus the dedication of Rev Dr Anne Shaw ensured that we were finally able to welcome the candidates into full membership of the Christian church, nearly a year after they had started preparation classes.
We celebrated with them on Sunday 27th May with a cake and special Parish Breakfast. We also celebrated the start of the course to prepare young children for their First Communion.
