Messiah 2008

If you've always wanted to sing the 'Hallelujah' chorus, this is your chance. Come and sing Handel's great masterpiece 'Messiah' on Saturday 21st June 2008 at St Mary's. No singing or musical training is necessary - this really is a great chance for all 'bathroom singers' to be part of a magnificent choral event.

How does it work?

We form the choir for a mass sing-along through ten of the most popular choruses, including the Hallelujah chorus, and listen to nine arias/recitatives for the soloists.

Tim will guide us through the choruses during the afternoon rehearsal from 1.45pm - 5pm. There is then a break for you to relax before the concert in the evening at 7.30pm.

In order to get the most enjoyment from the day you will need to be familiar with the music.  Never sung it? Never mind, we have organised a preparation pack of a special score and CDs with which you can do some homework.

Please download the information sheet which tells you everything you need to know about this wonderful, exciting opportunity.
