Many of you will have read the article in last month’s link written by Beryl Baker relating to her visit to see the Passion Plays in 2000 – and will have registered that they are to be performed again 2010.
I have been in contact with the travel company with whom we will travel, and they are seeking to have an indication of numbers we might take – by May of this year!
A few people have spoken to me already informally, and I know that others have been ‘in conversation’ with others too – over the odd cup of coffee here and there.
Basic details though… (with brochures to be available after Easter)
Date: 7th – 14th August 2010, flying from Stansted to Munich
Accommodation: Upon arrival, two night stay in Oberammergau then transfer to Stroble, a village on Lake Wolfgang – under an hour from Salzburg
Cost: £1,095 to include travel to Austria, accommodation on a breakfast and dinner basis, transfers and a ticket to the Passion Play itself
There will be optional excursions into Salzburg, the mountains and lakes – as well as some free time. I have chosen the date so that the Passion Play is at the beginning of the holiday, with time afterwards to reflect before the return home.
If you are interested at all – whether slightly or seriously – I really would commend this opportunity to you, not least because it only comes around every ten years. I have chosen the August date to allow for those affected by School Terms, and for those not, so I hope it will be convenient for all.
Remember, I need to have some idea of numbers by the end of May!
Deborah
