Harvest Celebrations 2009

As usual, St Mary's was beautifully decorated with flowers and harvest produce for our annual celebration. This year, we also held an exhibition of some of the skills and talents of members of our congregation with paintings, needlework, patchwork and wood-turning to name but a few. What a talented bunch you all are! The icing on the cake was the opportunity to share in the celebrations of the Diamond Wedding anniversaries of two St Mary's couples. John & Sheila Nunn and Eric & Mabel Tindall were married on 24th September 1949. They brought sparkling wine to the Harvest Lunch to share with their friends - thank you.
PS - Thank you to everyone who helped decorate the church for Harvest, contributed items for display, cooked the magnificent Harvest Lunch, sorted and distributed gifts and all the other million and one other jobs that made this such a special celebration. |
