We bid farewell to the Campbell family

Farewell to the Campbell family

It was with immense sadness that we bid farewell to the Campbell family who have been a huge part of our St Mary's family for many years.

As well as being regular worshippers on Sundays they have been active participants in all our activities.

In a voluntary capacity, Iain was Chairman of the Fabric Committee and served on the United Church Council. Lindsay helped run Junior Church and a multitude of other activities.

Additionally, Lindsay was Parish Secretary, keeping things running smoothly during the vacancy, training our new Vicar in the ways of St Mary's (!), being a listening ear for everyone's woes and generally being an ultra-efficient person to have around - we will miss her delightful, calm manner hugely.

We presented gifts to the family - a set of framed prints of the Stations of the Cross, a map of Rickmansworth, bibles for Ben and Eleanor and, most importantly, an Aga cookbook for Iain.

We wish them much happiness in their new home and hope their new church appreciates them as much as we do.

The Campbells are moving to the Chichester area and look forward to visitors!
