Advent Sunday

This is the beginning of the Christian Year and marks the beginning of the journey of Mary and Joseph. The St Mary's Travelling Crib will start its journey after the 10.00am service, travelling from house to house around our church community.

There is a special Carol Service at 6.00pm.

During Advent, there will be a series of evenings of prayer and reflection [more...].

Christmas post

Christmas Postbox starts

Boxes will be at the back of church for you to post your cards to other members of the congregation. There is a charge of 10p per card which will be donated to the Children's Society and Action For Children.

Cards not collected by 1st January will be recycled so don't forget to pick up your cards!!!

There is also a board at the back of church if you prefer to put up a card to everyone in the parish, making a donation to the charities above.

Christingle serviceChristingle Service

The collections from this service are donated to the Children’s Society. Do come along to this delightful service for children of all ages! If you can help to make the Christingle kits, please let Deborah know and come along to the Church at 10.00am on the Saturday morning.

Sunday 18th Dec

Christmas Tree of PrayerThe Christmas Tree of Prayer is put up in the church.

The only decoration on this special tree will be cards, hung by those who wish to pray for family, friends or situations across the world at this time.

The tree will be in Church until Twelfth Night. The Church is open during daylight hours and stars are provided for you to write your message.

Carol Service

Followed by mince pies and mulled wine in the Church Centre.

Members of X-Team will be making the mince pies this year but they welcome contributions from others too. Please bring them along in the morning

Children's Christmas Craft Workshop

Decorating the Church for Christmas

Please bring foliage with berries to the Church in the morning or leave it in the tower during the preceding days.
