Sunday 6 October 2024
Harvest Festival service at 10.00am
We bring gifts of food as we give thanks for the bounty of God’s good creation.
Practical donations will be given to Rickmansworth Foodbank. They are particularly in need of:
- Tinned meat (mince or casseroles, not corned beef please)
- Tinned vegetables
- Tinned fruit
- Tinned rice pudding/custard
- Baked beans
- Tinned soup
- Biscuits
- Cereal bars
- Laundry products.
Financial donations will go to the Bishop of St Alban’s Appeal: Thrive: Nutrition and Sustainable Agriculture in Sri Lanka. This year the Bishop’s Harvest Appeal is being run in partnership with The Leprosy Mission to support a project in Sri Lanka, which provides those affected by leprosy with the means to grow their own food and raise their standard of living.
Harvest lunch: There’s a Bring & Share Lunch at 12.30pm to which everyone is welcome. It’s helpful if you can sign the list at the back of the church to say what you are bringing, please.
